But he's more of an asshole than Kyou.

How?

Well here's a scenario that Nero likes to get himself in... literally on purpose:

So... someone comes to him and asks him to grant their wish. The wishes Nero likes to grant are things like wealth, power, forced love... basically things his kind are NOT supposed to grant.

"Once your corruption condemns you, I will come for my payment," Nero would grin at the wisher.

They would think nothing of it, and sure enough they start becoming heartless, cruel, dark, and in essence, corrupt.

At that point, Nero would come to the wisher, dressed in black & white, and scythe in hand, and tell them "I have come for what I am owed." And then... he kills them.

His price to grant wishes is their very lives... the most precious thing to man. And no one ever suspects a thing.

Except Kyouseki... who hates Nero because he "doesn't take his job seriously and just dicks around, doing the very things he is NOT supposed to do."

As a warning, I've called their class Shinigami because they can ultimately take a life as payment, though the one who made them told them to avoid it.

And for his scythe, the handle can be plain or change based on what element he plans to use: earth, air, fire, water, ice, lightning, etc.

The phoenix changes color based on the used element, and even can detach from the scythe and come to life, it's element being whatever Nero uses at the time. In the case of this drawing, the element is supposed to be ice. Please forgive me if it doesn't look like ice lol

The outfit he's wearing is one he usually wears, but the black base is generally only for when he comes to collect his "payment." Think of it as... a type of funeral outfit lol
